In our urgency for our children to socialize, we leave little time for our kids to be with us or to engage in the solitary creative play. We fill up their free time play dates or with videos, television, electronic games. We need go leave much more room for the self to emerge.

Parenting was meant to be natural and intuitive but can be so only when the child is attaching to us.
