Beautiful prose… seriously one of a kind. I thought the first and final parts of this were fantastic, whereas I did get a bit lost in the middle section (from road trip to road trip). This is a very smart book with lots of small yet crucial tidbits, many of which I’m sure to have missed. Perhaps a more careful reread sometime in the not-so-distant future, maybe when I’m willing to translate all of the French.
