McQuaid’s are long known to be attractive. But wow… everything being paired with the attractiveness level is a lot. Also about 40% through and waiting for some big problems to come up.

I do think the comparison is fun though. The first McQuaid brother was Wyatt, who had taken over his family and farm after his parents death. His MFC was a young woman from Chicago with her sister who was dying. Parallels are fun

Having read Hedlunds “Colorado Cowboys” series that this is a spin off of… I’m just loving seeing aspects of life in the 1860s world still thriving - just like the inn- in the modern day. 🥹

So far - I’m mad I put off reading this book for so long. Also, totally looking up flights to Scotland…. For reasons both totally related and unrelated to this book.

Okay… okay. Two days into the plot, this is feeling redeemable. Forming some theories, wondering what will happen.

Also totally looked up the cottage and think I’ll keep the image of the one I imagined in my head for the sake of the story.
