Me every time I read the first book in a series and give it a 4 or 5 star review: OMG this was so good! I can't wait to read the rest of the series!!

2 years later...

Narrator: Not only had she failed to read the next book in the series, but she had now completely forgotten the plot of the first book, and has started more than a dozen new series...

I didn't realize this was going to be so religious 😂🫣 I want to DNF but my son wants to give it "one more chance".

So, I was reading through some of my recent reviews and I realized something... My ratings are ALL OVER THE PLACE. Like, sometimes Ill give a book a high rating even though I didn't like it because I thought it was well written, other times I'll give a well written book a low rating because I didn't enjoy it. I don't know what my problem is? I hope no one is taking my reviews seriously- I am A MESS. Okay PSA over.

Currently at 100% feedback ratio on NetGalley!!! Just wanted to make that flex in case I get approved for something tomorrow 😂😅 I'm going to pause on my requesting and just stare at that 100% for a while now.

This is cute, but I've learned that I personally really can't stand any references in a book to Covid. In this case, there is a fantasy world made up version of Covid called "the sickness". I don't know why, but it just makes me want to cringe and roll my eyes at the same time.

So far this seems like it's going to be really hot and fun.

Just wanted to say.... I am having such good luck with ARCs lately and it's weird. I'm used to liking the books that are recommended on reddit and here, and struggling through my ARCs... but lately it's been the exact opposite. Housemates is wonderful. Unless this really takes a turn in the second half this is going to be another 5 star read for me.

I'm going to see Chuck Tingle, TJ Klune and Mark Oshiro TOMORROW in San Antonio! I'm so excited but nervous too, it's my first solo trip in a long time.

I haven't DNF-ed in a while, it might be time... I'm just not connecting with this

So far it's still just people talking about politics and society with a little religion and philosophy thrown in... I'm wondering if anything is ever going to happen?

Dumas really knows how to paint a picture - wow. I haven't seen the movie, but I really can't imagine it being anywhere near this good.

I just want to say that the audiobook for this is EXCELLENT. Thandie Newton does an amazing job with the character voices

I think I'm a repressed mood reader. Like, I want so badly to be a TBR reader because of my OCD, but then I get super emotional and have no restraint...

I think Visander may be my favorite character. He is the only one who seems to have no secrets or hidden agendas, and he just dgaf lol

Confession: Sometimes I'll read a bunch of books with zero spice just so I can then reward myself with something extra smutty - it's like the literary form of edging.

My son (7) asked me to read these sentences three times and he could not stop laughing:

"How did she make Calcifer bend down?" said Howl.

"She bullied me!" Calcifer said in a piteous, muffled voice from under the sizzling pan.
