Uh oh I think this book is making me sympathize with a slimy man

Reading this for a book club that I think might not come to fruition but I’m having a good time

I know that part of the beauty of reading is to gain empathy, see different perspectives, etc... I'm having fun with this book but I'm also sitting here with so much anxiety because wow, I would make so many better decisions than she would.

This movie comes out in 6 days, and I’m having a good time reading this book but I also feel like I’m in a horror movie and I am SPRINTING to survive but you know what y’all, ya girl might just make it out alive 😌

Not bad by any means but I read 10 pages and then think, “yeah, that’s good enough for today”.

Currently working through my physical TBR so I have something to contribute to the book swap I’m hosting in January.

I don’t want to oversimplify this by calling this a modern day American Girl book but it kinda is a throwback to history.

I think she’s a good writer but sometimes it’s like… ok let’s put down this elaborate sentence structure, it’s not that serious! You’re describing pancit!!!
