Finding this in the bookshop today, recognising the art on the cover (UK edition) and immediately checking it only to get so excited and immediately buying it after realising who wrote it. I'm so excited for more "monsters who hate humanity find a human they can tolerate" content.

God this book is so good.

I've not read a book with such high expectations set in a while. I'm quite nervous!

Listening to the audiobook of this and I know it's going to positively impact my review a lot, but it's so nice hearing Geordie characters with Geordie accents. The book is so aggressively north eastern and I absolutely adore it.

It feels really bad but ... I'm really not enjoying this. It feels like someone is infodumping on me their ideas for a D&D campaign and I have very little connection to any of the characters ;-;

Man this is so horrifically poignant and very eye opening. Really loving the writing style so far as well.

This slowburn is slowburning excellently and after the last scene I am now fully invested in this romance. I just know I'm going to be screaming at them over the next 200 pages 🤣

Don't get me wrong, I am enjoying this, but at the same time I'm absolutely drowning in similes. It feels like it's every other sentence something is like something else and it doesn't add a whole lot to the description other than extra words for the word count.

Ok this is really cute. The narration is entertaining and the humour is fun and light hearted.

Went into this quite blind because I've heard nothing but good things, and as someone who has always been fascinated with the world building of Made in Abyss (but not necessarily in the execution), this is tickling my brain absolutely wonderfully. Really loving the concept and can't wait to get into the horror of it all!

I haven't read a book with pacing this insanely fast in a very long time :') it's quite jarring and I worry it's too quick but I'll trust le guin to give me more in future books.

Ok so I have the compilation of the first 4 books but I'm marking these as I read them individually because I have no idea if I'll read them all back to back :')

Ok the humour and first person perspective is beginning to grow on me.

Time for the sanderlanche, let's go!!!
