This already has so much I love. Ghosts, demons, arcane magic! I'm also a sucker for footnotes as it makes the whole story telling aspect feel more personal. I think I'm going to love this.

It's been a very long time since I've been physically fighting sleep at 2am because I just couldn't stop reading. I'm loving this book so much.

I don't know why I waited so long to start this. I'll forever be in awe of Tchaikovsy's world building and character work. The way each of the characters you read, from all sides of the war, have their own burdens and make you feel sympathy for them is amazing. You know reading who the 'bad guys' are in essence, but it's just not that clear cut in the end.

Oh I think I'm going to like Havelock. I also adore how blunt and sharp Agnes is. Their banter is going to be fun to read, I just know it

Decided that I'm going to have to read multiple books if I want to keep up with all of my ARCs 🤣 excited for this one and I'm enjoying the style and tone of it so far!

Absolutely loving this so far. The descriptions of the meltdowns and the inner thoughts are just amazing (if not a little close to home sometimes). I knew I was going to enjoy (maybe not the best word) this but it's already exceeding my expectations. I can really tell how personal this was to AJW and it's making it even more special.

Man I love it when authors write theology systems as part of the world building. Also, plus size, mid 30s main character?! Yes Kingfisher!!

Really enjoying this so far. Love the autism rep and I absolutely love the way Kingfisher writes and includes dogs in her work. They always feel so real and alive she never forgets they're there and she does it so seamlessly. Same as her side characters, always so multidimensional and interesting!

Enjoying the family dysfunction aspect of this far too much so far 😂

Listening to the audiobook and loving it so far. Adoring the atmosphere and the narration.

Been battling with getting around to reading this for a while, when I should have known all along I should just be listening to the audiobook instead. In my mind, Tim is just... Darrow. His voice is all i can hear in my head when I'm reading so I might as well just listen to him. I also adore the voices he does for the other characters, they're so defined and feel perfect for their personalities.

HE HAS TRAUMA. I REPEAT: COCKY MAN HAS TRAUMA. I'd have read this book long ago if I knew it would have such a damn chokehold on ne like this!!

OK... OK OK OK. So I went into this blind, knowing only what was on the blurb, that everyone loves it and that it's gay. Is this... is this gonna be enemies to lovers because my god. If it is I'm gonna combust in the best possible way. I adore cocky POS characters... and it's done very well in this and I just... im vibrating with excitement over the possibility 🤣🤣

The summary of the last book at the start is just *chefs kiss*. This should definitely be a thing. Its made getting back into the series so much easier, and without the awkwardness of having the characters explain what, to them, literally just happened. Key lore points, breakdowns of all the maim characters and their relationships and then a summary of the ending. So good!

So far, this is exactly what I wanted from this book and I'm enjoying it so much ❤️

Maaaaaaan this may have to be a DNF for me... I just, don't care about what's happening. I have no attachment to the characters and I'm getting bored of the same information being repeated and slapped in my face over and over as if I'm going to have forgotten it from 2 (very short) chapters ago. I'm so bummed as well because this was one I was really looking forward to as well :(

I dont get why I'm getting this POV. This character was introduced with an air of mystery to them and 3 pages into their first POV chapter, after only meeting them twice and I know everything about them. It's just unnecessary. I feel like as a reader, I should have been given the opportunity to figure these things out rather than have them thrown in my face...

I'm starting to wonder if I should just avoid the 'new adult' genre from now on because I'm starting to realise these books might not be for me :') but I still want to read enemy to lovers romance in a fantasy world with palpable sexual tension... 😭😭

I dont get how I'm 90 paged in and already on chapter 13 :') so oddly short. Also, one day, I'll actually pick up a book that mentions 'enemies to lovers' and they'll actually be enemies... not ex lovers 😑 I think I'm enjoying this but it could go either way right now...

This has so many similarities to Avatar, I cant ignore it any more :') lile, I'm enjoying this book but the prophesies are super obvious and the "love" developing between the characters just seems like pure lust and longing rather than anything particularly emotional. Feels pretty rushed for the sake of some spicy scenes :(

Heard about this book from a youtuber I watch during a completely unrelated video and it sounded right up my alley. Then I found out Tim Curry read the audiobook and I knew exactly how I was going to consume this. So I plan to listen to this alongside my other reads and so far, I'm loving what he brings to it, because of course he could only make a good book better!

OK I get it, I see why people love this already. The narration style with the rapidly flipping POVs plus a narrator shouldn't work as well as it does but I love how dynamic it makes reading!

Let's go! I'm both super excited and super terrified to get started on this considering how many good things I've heard!

Man, I love the Cosmere, and I love that this is from Hoid's perspective but... I really hate body swapping g as a trope >.< the second hand embarrassment and awkwardness that comes from it just makes for uncomfortable reading. I dunno how much further I'll be able to go with this D:

Started reading this as a reccomendation for those invested in Astarions story. Meets Zidan: aha I see we have the broody vampire in question... gets further in and starts to understand Remy more: oh... ok now I see.
