I need something quick for a July read and it's been years so let's read Nancy Drew!

I hadn't remembered there was so much religious propaganda in this. I am altering my copy to remove it with a pen. This will effect the star rating and I will remove it from my favorite lists.

As it becomes rapidly evident I can't finish Blood Meridian by the end of June I thought I'd revisit a classic and favorite.

Don't know why Nora Roberts thought her crappy romance and barely passable murder thriller needed an abysmally handled racism plotline but hell, here we are. For every part of this book that's okay there's always two more parts that are just AGGRESSIVELY trash.

Written weird

Struggling with this one. Trying to speedread it for a challenge probably was a poor decision but it's too late to back out. I also got hands for Mr. Collins, the absolute unmitigated gall of this man. Slap him. And slap Lizzy's mom too!

Not having a very good time with this one which is a shame, I really enjoyex the movie starring Keira Knightley.

The imagery of the prowling cat and Carmilla in a white nightgown all soaked in blood are quite good.

Oh the lesbian themes are much more overt than I'd expected! I'm pleased, the book seems very modern because of that.

Reading this for a winter challenge tho I really should have saved this for October. Oh well I picked it because it's reasonably short and I might get done in time for March to be other books.

You have got to have very vile sense of humor to title the chapter "Daddy" in which your main couple physically fights then the man rapes the woman. Diana Gabaldon not escaping the rape fetishist allegations, ew.
