This is such a snoozefest that I momentarily questioned my choice of major

Hi everyone, my lovely sweet grandfather passed away in Egypt this week and I’m not doing too well. A tireless activist who spent years in exile from Sudan and returned only to be displaced by the war, he was a professor before he retired and loved to read. He’s the reason why I love books and we’d talk for hours about literature. I’m resolving to never not be reading this year to honour him💗

I’m so hooked

Hiiii I’m back after not using goodreads for about a year! I hope everyone’s doing good🥰🌸🫧 Uni and life in general has been very hectic and I’m so excited to get back to reading more frequently ^^💖

I love Faramir <3 Peter Jackson did him so dirty in the films😭

The Merry and Pippin side-quest making me weirdly emotional bc I know the descriptions of having joyful little moments of laughter and friendship among battle cries and swords clanging is based on Tolkiens actual experience in WW1
