Ugh, here I am falling in love with another series, another small town, another fictional community. And here I am reading out of order again, it seems. Haha. I intended to pick up Sophie's story immediately after Lily's, but then I felt like I was going to be betraying Mattie so I ended up with Maeve, with whom I was very intrigued with anyway.

I can't even with this one. I've barely started and yet it's already playing with my heart. I'm falling for both Brayton and Leona, one moment they're impressing me and making me want to cry, and then the next moment I find myself a mess, laughing out loud to myself. (Also loving all the connections and filling in the blanks from the other books in the series.)

I don't know what to do with my heart.

Now I know what I was holding back, what I'm embarrassed by . . . is my love. I fear that my defenseless heart and my unconditional love is a burden no one wants. So, it sits. Behind a wall. Safe and waiting. For someone who keeps looking and doesn't ever give up.

I swear, Tessa writes the best love scenes. How so perfect? Just so fitting. Heavenly. Le sigh.

Can we just take a brief moment to mention Charlotte, appreciate how she's made of so much win? What a force to be reckoned with! She's very spirited&unrestrained, w/ so much love for her sisters. It was a touching moment when we saw more than a glimpse of that in the way she confronted Aaron & what she revealed in the convo.

I can't stop laughing. But then I turn to the next page and it's a sobering moment and just, my heart. What a beautiful match these two make. Love, LOVE the conversations. <3
