Samantha is annoying the begeezus out of me. At the 88% mark. Abby, wth with the plane ticket thing after the grandmother thing, and the job thing. This book is beyond depressing. Out of all the books, this is the one I have no desire to reread.

Omg, this is too much piling on of bad things happening. Also kind of driving me nuts acting like being able to talk to your boyfriend at any time equal being completely separate and inaccessible?

I love Abby Jimenez books and there are parts of this book I like: Xavier, the mustard, the depiction of abusive narc parents. The conflict related to a long distance relationship felt wrung out into more of a problem than it is, and the references to Eileen were a few too many - it reminded me of the minty green eyes in Novel Love Story.
