started big dune on tuesday and it feels so so good to read fiction again ! the couple times ive sat down to read ive flown through it and am really really enjoying it. #unemployed

Restarted this lol because i am accidentally consuming a lot of content about prayer and i want to lean into that

Really thought this book was written in the 1900s and was very surprised when it said that if jesus had twitter everyone would unfollow him when he was crucified. it called jesus "he who will never un-friend us." sure enough, this book was written in 2020. Good one, Dane Ortland.

cried in this last chapter because big dersh asked "what's scary to you about community" and everything is scary to me about community these days. I love this book and i love thomas "da bombas" cockerham.

yes another book BUT its for a group book study :) because the Lord has never not been faithful to provide me with a community of sweet girls!!! Even when I move to a different state where i don't know anyone but my fiance's family!!!! He is so overwhelmingly good :) can't wait to learn what it means to be feminine biblically (they call me a woman and a christian. Christian first actually. Then a woman. )

the ratio of time we're spending reading the chapter to discussing is like a super solid 1:4

However, we just found out that scott kedersha is bald though, so thats something to be aware of if youre thinking about reading this book.

my fiance (🤭) and I started reading this on our thirteen hour drive to florida and its actually really good? A lot of the time I feel like these books have discussion questions that kinda suck but these are actually really good and we've had a lot of really good discussions about it. cringe or not, the discussion is good and important.

This book is so quick to read I just never sit down and actually read it. Which is why Ive technically been reading it for nearly 6 months and Im just past halfway through 🤑

While justification is the basis of the Gospel, the biggest, loveliest, sweetest part of the Gospel is adoption of believers into the family of God!! Justification is a law thing, and is absolutely a show of God's love for us, but it doesn't have to be. On the other hand, adoption implies a personal, intimate relationship with God that, when fully considered, is CRAZY!! THATS THE CREATOR OF THE WORLD!! MY FATHER!!!!!

This book is the opposite of Gilmore girls in that Gilmore girls makes me never want to have kids

I read a solid 4 pages and then J.I, jokester that he is, said "I recommend you take an hour to read the gospel of Mark all the way through ☺️ right now ☺️ do it now ☺️" and I have nothing to say in response to that, mostly because I just googled it and J.I. Packer dies four years ago. So I literally can't argue with him.
