This book struck me as really boring, since it was described to me as a disturbing and intriguing horror/slasher. Once I finally got to the actual kill, I'll admit it was really shocking. What's growing to be even more interesting is the study of the people of Japan as a whole, their indifference towards violence and perversion, and lack of empathy/suffering as an entire country that has led them to worship no gods.
