Kierkegaard is to Hegel as Kendrick Lamar is to Drake

Going to have to read Marilynne Robinson to even myself out after these stories…

My friend Andre (Catholic) told me that Books XI-XIII don’t count, what do I do now

And I thought “The Road” had a lot of new vocab…phew! Set a new record for the number of times I had to close the book and take a breather before continuing.

Rudabeh lets down her hair for Zal to climb, Rapunzel style, but Zal declines and instead becomes…Spiderman? “And with a bound he swung himself onto the roof.”

I just think it’s so funny how, at an airplane bookstore, you can read a book off the shelf and no one will accuse you of stealing

This book is taking me so long because I need to obsessively discuss each section with people in my life to fully process what Ellul is saying. I really hope he has a “how then should we live” section. Also love (hate?) that “operations research” got a shoutout.
