this is literally an achilles autobiography

i always felt like i didn’t get to know patroclus quite well; even though this book is him telling his tales of achilles i feel like we never get to know him bc he eats sleeps and breathes ACHILLES which im sure ms miller intended idk i never researched these two in greek mytho all ive ever known of them was what we learn from this book but i think i will.

i always assumed it was bc thetis thinks patroclus is taking achilles off track from being a worrier but idk

this is prolly telling of my own intelligence but why did thetis never like patroclus, like yea he’s turning her son gay but off bat she playing in his face saying he gonna die like he isn’t 13😭but also gods are cruel so it may be love

all in all. i’m always gonna come back to the book it literally has only been 3 months since my last reread 😭

i have reread this book about 2 times(most i’ve ever reread a book)but this is gonna be my official second time actually reading it as the other times i listened to the audiobook while at work and generally being busy asl jaja. patroculas father needs to be HANGGED. it sucks seeing him watch achilles with envy but i see my younger boyish self in patroclus and the comparing game he does with Achilles, like it hurts

i am enjoying this book but it’s not really deep. i haven’t highlighted a single thing and while yea that isn’t a bad thing it still something that is possible even in a romance book. i just feel like it’s a lot of one offs here nothing really deep that i’m like omg omg nothing like song of achilles or cmbyn idk

okay i actually was not expecting that plot
twist. i mean after we found out about the jim writing children’s books it was kind of a given but genuinely didn’t expect it at all

griff’s spel about the system being rigged and whatnot i get but bffr grif. you’re a white blond man in deep vermont with two mothers. this gives “people are dying kim” 😭😂it’s actually hilarious even tho im sure it’s not supposed to be

also may archer is really good at comedy like i can’t even count all the times i’ve cackled reading this these two are funny

okay i actually can’t wait for holdens book it’s gonna be milo i just know it

also it literally took me two years to pick this book uppp like i actually was missing out. guess it was poppin on booktok or sumin idk that’s not my neck of the woods (booktok) them girls always tussling bout sumin so i find book on here/amazon mostly jaja. does anyone else go out their way to avoid booktok??? lmfaoo

did i place an order for us??? yes…. yes i did. idk i like this but there’s something i don’t really like about it. i’m not into flip/verse books (ik im so evil n uncultured) i in fact love men w gender roles at least in books not irl jaja so i avoid them when i can but im so confused w these two. i feel like flip actually fits them so well, just mad i didnt know beforehand but yolo it’s a fun read

mhmm okay so DNF here. will get back to this but these two just got boring to me suddenly. feel like this should have been more slow burn than what it was or maybe a 300/400 page book not over 500 pages!!

this book moves so incredibly slow which what else would you expect from tj but still it’s getting hard and kind of boring sometimes to read

i knew i was gonna like gordo’s story better

it’s so daunting tryna figure out what book to pick up next especially with me bc i usually just read multiple books at once if it’s one i really wanna read. was gonna read ravensong & kiss the villain but shouldn’t i read hunt the villain or maybe not since i may get lost idk.

- and let’s get this str8 grape should not at all be normalized in books that’s not wat im sayin. im sayin this is dark romance so go into it with knowledge that you finna be flabbergasted beyond belief. esp with rina, just expect the unexpected with her. mad BC rlly almost skipped a whole book bc of what the consensus of it was based on reviews, def a lesson
