Ok pretty cool so far. I like history and that’s all the first part was, it’s nice to learn something new. Ironic I’m reading a book about Chinese military tactics, while I’m in America, and on Juneteenth of all days

Taking a break after 17 pages lol. Not really feeling like reading about collective Black trauma right now

Ok so 2 or 3 existential crises later, I feel like this boom is gonna be a staple read of mine each year. Even though it’s has some of the most terrible things I’ve ever read, it’s an massive reminder of the compassion that’s required to be a positive person to those in our lives.

Still a very beautiful book and an eye opening read for anyone who has not had any experience with losing people very close to them

I’m gonna be real honest I’m only 100 pages in and this is a very hard read. The subject matter, trauma and how it affects our lives, is already a deep rooted issue for most of us. But experiencing a small ego death every few pages yet at the same time realizing sources of hope, familiarity, and all the while connected to you or someone else’s trauma has been a true labor of the heart.

Wow even just a few chapters in this book is extremely moving, I’m really loving it. Bert Scandinavian, reminds me of my Swedish friend Mia
