There's a lot hear that harkens to both The Ritual (the opening sections of the book) and The Reddening (direct references and some of the imagery and storyline).

This is really good. Wish I had a physical copy now, but the audiobook courtesy of Hoopla will suffice!

I'm putting this on pause until I get a physical copy. For me, this isn't the sort of book to read on an eReader during my downtime from work. It's too lyrical and poetic.

Rat 3⭐️ - This one was promising with the isolated cabin in the Northern Maine woods but fizzled out to not much of anything. I had hoped the caretaker bit would have brought it into supernatural territory. Nope.

I'm going to read The Outsider and then come back to read the title story, which has spoilers for that earlier novel.

My edition of the book isn't on GR. This is close enough, I guess.

Alright, that's it for me. I wondered why I had purchased this book told from a teenage POV about teenagers, then realized it was from a GR giveaway. Not a winner this time around. Might have pushed through if it were 200 pages or so shorter. DNF 34%.
