one day i will remember the dates and log all the shirley jackson stories i've read recently

i just read "every day for the rest of your life" and was excited to learn it's from an anthology

it's so bad....... well it is not that egregious but like. i could do better. which is saying a lot

i think my only reading goal for the summer is to read anti-psychiatry books

this seems like the type of story i would come up with in middle school, including the faux secularism

i wish i could add comments to "want to read" things. like to explain myself

i tried to look up transgenderism books and it's all about educating cis individuals about the subject.... how are you writing a book about this it's all pretty straightforward to me. like who has a whole book full of questions. what?.... But anyway does anyone have any books about transgender history OR just fiction with trans characters that i might like. i don't get a lot of interaction on here but eh worth asking

i'm reading "an introduction to colley cibber's love's last shift" (not on goodreads to log/review sadly) and it's kind of bad. as indicated, i'm not done, but i feel like this could have been contained within a few paragraphs (it is 120 pages)

favorite stories from that anthology i just finished a bit ago: "the specialist's hat," "bright morning," "the rose in twelve petals," "you have never been here". though i must say "the rose in twelve petals" did not seem very slipstreamy

the author is anticommunist which is troubling but this is all i have. Allegedly he separates facts and opinions well but i heard that from REDDIT..... of all places.
