What the hell am I reading? This is brilliant

I have read this previously and rated it 3 stars. Annoyingly I didn't leave any notes or a full review, so I have no idea why I rated it so.
I decided to try again after enjoying Addie LaRue so much and I'm listening to the audible version rather than reading, to see if that makes a difference to my rating.

Half way through listening to Plain Bad Heroines and I'm suddenly bored of it.

I will admit to approaching this book with a degree of trepidation having seen some very mediocre reviews. However, I'm 20% in and enjoying the journey so far.

I'm so excited to get stuck into this fourth book in the series *puts up do not disturb sign and snuggles under the duvet*

I have just read the first brush with death and have goosebumps. I don’t think I am alone in recognising that terrifying moment when you realise the situation you are in may not end well. I actually feel quite emotional now.

I'm 20% of the way through and really struggling. The narrative and time jumps are confusing, the characters really are just words on the page, it all feels so pointless, in fact the word that keeps springing to mind is turgid.
I'll plod on a bit longer because it's this months book club read.

My worst nightmare happened last week - my kindle wiped all my content.

Now the Amazon books I can restore from the cloud, but all those net galley advanced copies that are now archived on the site *weeps*

I'd like to say that this has taught me that a backup is essential, but my brain can't seem to wrap myself around how to do this.

So bad (acquaintance spelt incorrectly as a chapter title ) but so good. When your frazzled brain needs a respite this is medicine
