Needing a serious detox from the 21st century after that…

One of my main takeaway’s so far is that they just make up the name of the drug ?? Like it’s not a scientific chemical name, the pharmaceutical company just makes something up that sounds catchy

Finally started this bad boy. Very excited to get into my second Patrick Radden Keefe, as I truly believe the man is a genius. Glad I already know a bit of background on this because what with the pharmaceuticals and business jargon, it’s already proving to be a bit denser. But the way he writes his non fiction is incredible - I feel as though it’s almost autobiographical. Can’t wait for the misery to unfold.

My first use of leith library was putting this on reserve, and man it’s turning out to be a good use so far !

Trying to finish all my half read books! This book is so stunningly beautiful in the way it’s written, it’s almost a little too poetic though in the sense that I’m finding it hard to connect with the narrative as instead I’m concentrating on the language.
