The kidnapping scene was shorter than these info dumps 😭

I'm sorry HUGH????

This is so slow so far. Really hope it picks up the pace

The prologue was not a good start and the old timey dialogue is a little funny alongside the more modern prose but I like she's basically sniffing everything

Essentially "sold to a vampire prince" fanfic

Got this as a rec and not vibing with this odd dialogue

Can fully relate to Owens impeccable mini golfing skills

I love True, the sweetest doggo

Starting off strong with the opening. Then we start adding world building that is reducing the flow and I am sitting here hoping it goes away

A recap should be standard

I am so annoyed by this at the moment

I'm upset how poor this is reading so far

OK, I don't usually like love triangles but this eats

I already adore this writing. Del is so sarcastic I love her

"moisture floods my eyes" is such an ick

Not a fan that the only non white character is "weird" for no apparent reason

Tbh I don't remember too much about the politics here and it's all polictics atm

Noah is actually the best character

Now it's getting stupid

I honestly thought they just called her Shikira 😭

The psychiatrist thinks I'm insane how much I'm grinning at this but SHEEEN

I'm not sure how much I'm liking this outside of vibes

Book 3 babyyyy

To preface I do have a Netgalley but also got to purchase the book early but as ever opinions are mine.

I'm not enjoying this plot device of "well actually they were dying of cancer"

It turns out Kelly Clarkson was wrong. What doesn't kill you shows up at your father's yacht parties.

I didn't finish this in history politics book club but I'm baaaack

I am in love with the 1984 vibes in this PLUS the victorians 😍😍😍

I am fascinated at myself reading this because reading about cancer was a big no no up until Jan/Feb and it's currently going pretty well. Maybe it's because it's not brain cancer

Am already obsessed. 1880s London? Yes please
