Rereading this as an adult hits HARD

Now that i have too much time on my hands (FUCK commuting FUCK edsa road) i wanna start reading a lot again…starting off w one of the most important books in the world to me. First time reading it on mobile as ive always been very ritualistic abt reading my physical copy. Still excellent and moving. Thank u to my godmother w excellent taste

Loving it so far. The Carl Sagan fanatic in me ensures I will not be having an unbiased opinion on this book, but idgaf!! I am a romantic and i love his ethos on stars and space and love (maybe not so in practice, i know that bitch a cheatin ho!). I am drawn by the way he describes science and physics with so much tenderness

And anw, there rlly is smth about books that understand what loneliness feels like

So far kinda disappointed with the writing style bc i expected a lot more prose from something with such a haunting premise…BUT tbf this was translated into english so feeling ko its a lost in translation moment. it does affect how i perceive the story tho and atm im not rlly fond of how wishywashy the MC is. however, as an animator, im imagining this book as a rlly cool fim bc it reads a bit like a screenplay
