A very interesting start even if I don’t understand where Harlan Coben drive his story

Just so interesting ! In brief : asabiya is the heart of birth, life and fall of empire and Muslim empires are the most active in this history with Arab, Berber, Franc and Turkish whose are divided for the control of the Abbassid empire.

I like this start because there a return of the book one atmosphere that a like so much in the first volume of Dune

The start is not very interesting for me because Follet has a good historian view on the end of the medieval period !

Captivant style writing with a principal character narrator who is very personnel but also lost in his mind, his feeling and his world perception

The second book : Muad’Dib is finished !! Is a very interesting part, especially for the development of Paul, lead to the birth of Usul/ Paul-Muad’Dib. Also, the two chapters in which we see the Harkoneen are very interesting, with Hawat, Feyd-Raytha et M. and Miss Fenring who prepare a dark sex plan

The start of the second book : Muad’dib, is a surprise because I haven’t thought that is a direct rest of the first book ! But I like this shape for the story !

I’ve finished the first book : Dune ! It was incredible but I’m very surprise by the end of it because I thhought the intrigue of duc Leto with the traitor and the mind fight against Harkoneen will during much more time but it’s just a introductive intrigue. Also Paul reveal him in the end of the book after I learned the death of his father : it’s the birth of Muad’dib. But the future of his story is vague!

It’s too interesting to slowly discover Arrakis and to follow the duc Leto mind and down !

Just fascinated by this world and this story of SF inspired to féodal medieval world !
