Time for my annual spooky reads for October. TBH I didn’t have the best choices this year but I had this one, and it’s about drug addiction! Pretty terrifying if you ask me, really mostly sad though…

This book is wild… also, love it but man the interacciones with the other college aged characters tend to be forced.

And you did it at my birthday dinner!

You can tell this was written by a guy and I’m not mad

Regretting staying up late for this already, Oh Brother!

Now I’m excited for Easter already.

I wish Francis had more lines tbh I’d read a whole book about Francis.

Ugh I need to go to bed but this book is so fierce

Bunny has got to go…

How is your nickname bunny and you’re homophobic

Very mixed feelings about this so far

This isn’t actually have half bad.

I’m sorry to say this has been chopped, glad I’m almost done

Okay, why do most of the characters talk the same, like, stop saying man bro. : /

Secondly our main character seriously needs to read, journal, anything to get some self awareness, they are a mess, idk if I love it or hate it.

I really have to watch the movie again.

I’d also like to mention how satisfied I was with my find, I’d bought this second hand and got a rather old edition from circa 2010ish, based on the very old twitter logo.

Thus it’s almost a wholly green og cover, - the NYT bestseller thingy. Speaking of, why do they do that! They could just have the ugly endorsement logos be stickers! Idc if Oprah read it.

I’ve decided to read this book in small increments, a few chapters a day, (60 total) as really I’m not wholly used to the style of writing however you’d call it. But so far I’m quite enamored, I’m also wholly unspoiled.

Don't really get all the hate

It seems to be muddled in boring court dialogues. Kinda worried the movie will be boring too.

Not sure how I feel about this so far.

I will say this is one of the more dreary dystopians I have read. Likely due to its explicit use of atrocity, of which others usually have skirted around.

This is how I’d imagine the world in Brave New World would be hundred of years prior. Yes I’m on a little dystopian binge.

Siri play Water by Tyla,

Believe the hype I’ve seen the movies and this book I still so good!
