I didn’t understand before starting this book how people could read 5+ novels of this length. I just bought the second one.

Was only half paying attention (audio book), but this was a fun listen! I’ll say though - the twist at the end, while unexpected, felt a little forced.

“For beauty is nothing but the beginning of terror, which we still are just able to endure, and we are so awed because it serenely disdains to annihilate us.”

“For somewhere there is an ancient enmity / between our daily life and the great work / help me, in saying it, to understand it.”

Not very far in, sure, but this book is incredible
