Rereading this to recover from Wuthering Heights and because the Brontë’s were divas.

Ah. I see. The Dome is a metaphor for young people who are trapped (financially, socially, educationally) in their hometown, left to perpetuate a cycle of poverty and abuse.

But there’s still 900 pages to go so maybe not.

First 50 pages are just people running into the dome. Second 50 pages are those people then saying “wowza we sure are Under the Dome.”

Where is this going in the next 972 pages?

Remember those dumb myths your elementary school classmates would tell about Barney like kidnapping children or having drugs in his tail? That’s the vibe I’m getting from this.
