A lot of details for an audiobook, but interesting nonetheless.

Listened to King Lear. A first encounter for me, and not all was clear with the audiobook, but I grasp at least that basically everyone dies :)

Whitman is growing on me a bit. I particularly like his poem "Tears." Here are a few lines:

TEARS! tears! tears!
In the night, in solitude, tears,
On the white shore dripping, dripping, suck'd in by the sand,
...
O who is that ghost? that form in the dark, with tears?
What shapeless lump is that, bent, crouch'd there on the sand?
Streaming tears, sobbing tears, throes, choked with wild cries...

Weird, repetitive ghost stories.

Listened to Othello. Shakespeare is so much better listened to than read.

Whitman’s poetry is simple and patriotic. Not my taste so far.
