A man of the people chapter was sooo fucked up

The prose is LUSH

I’m really struggling at the moment. The writing style and language is not my thing at all. When someone says epic fantasy, I just expect more. I really dislike reading super modern language it takes me out of it.

Just found out through the art that our indigenous man who is discriminated against is WHITE? I’m so confused what is happening why are both main characters white … looking at the issues addressed in so confused

The main character is legit such a terrible person

Love that the main character is autistic ( author said the half a soil thing was a metaphor / symbolism for neurodivergence ) because I relate to her! Also, I really like the commentary abljt standing up for justice and not just being ‘nice.’ However, near the ending in Lord sorciers section is dragging a fair bit and I think the book should be ended by now.

Not as good as I hoped and the modern slang is personally really jarring in contrast with other parts of the language

Finally Eva has got her memories back because honestly it was getting TOO much how reliant the story was on either eva being stupid, making bad decisions , or not having her memories
