Wow
I need to be honest, this one was a very slow burn
Had long spurts, chapters of feeling like I wanted to switch books due to how long it was taking for anything interesting to happen
And was confused by the addition of Manon
(Needed to see a quick youtube summary to understand)
Then when the action started, it was captivating. I think halfway or 2/3 of the way.
And the ending chapters…huge climax!

Its picked up a lot in the second half

The audiobook gave this fantasy knight girl a southern accent i cannot

Is it bad that I’m slightly bothered by the slight change in the audiobook reader’s voice?

Like im in the background of some random middle aged people, watching and listening / eavesdropping their conversations and thoughts. Its easy reading, and the same thoughtful pattern his last book i read had. Though i did wonder “where is he going with this?”.

Also how absurd that he is literally going to rent an Italian bulldozer…
