Finished reading the first section of the book. I found the description of "Non-Spiritual Desolations" helpful. My main take away from this section: In order to address Spiritual Desolations we must make an audit of our physical and psychological health. Asking a few diagnostic questions around tiredness, discouragement, and slowness of heart can be helpful.
