Whoooweee it’s been a minute, but I am back!

This is hitting particularly close to home because I live just 30 miles away from the setting of Richard’s memories of Salt Lake and I have been to most of the places he is mentioning, a long time after, of course. Although his childhood is crazily different than mine, the scenery was the same. My dad was also born the year this book takes place, so it puts everything into a neat perspective. Also, THIS IS SAD!

I’m excited to start reading again! I’ve been in a rut for so long.

OMG OMG OMG!! I WAS RIGHT! I WAS RIGHT! MY MOUTH IS GAPING, GIRL!!! I CAN'T!!! I NEED THIS TURNED INTO A MOVIE! THIS IS CRAZY! THE COUNTLESS TWISTS AND TURNS... I CANNOT FATHOM.

OMG WHAT??? One twist after another! I am so suspicious of everyone right now! Also, Michael is such a douche. I can't stand him!!!

Ohhh??? I find all of this very interesting! I am sucked in! I also love the multiple povs'!

Wow. I started listening to this book on Audio because I relate to Shari in some ways. I also live in Utah and have been raised in the LDS church my whole life and I still am apart of the church. Her story is heart breaking, but very important for others to hear. She is so strong while going through all of this and I can't even imagine it. Her writing is so elegant that I have to remind myself that its a true story!!

Wow. I just can't put into words how I am feeling currently, but I shall try. I feel such empathy for Pi and what his life has turned to. I have to admit, some parts were very hard to listen to because of how sad and disturbing they were. i can't imagine going through something like this at 16 years old. I feel so so awful but I know there is good news to come, as Pi is the very one telling the story.

I am enjoying this book a lot so far! It has two things that I love: animals and God. I've always wanted to be a Zoologist, but now I DEFINITELY want to be one because of this book. Also, it only took 17 chapters to make me cry. (happy tears)

I've always wanted to read this book and I have yet to see the movie, but now that it is on Disney+, I figured I better read the book first before I watch the movie! (The best way to do it)

I hate the parents so far. Poor kid.

I'm listening to this book on audio! When I very first saw the ad for this book I almost cried because I love the Disney fairies and it is so nostalgic and comforting to me! I tend to not like reading fantasy novels as much as thrillers or ghost stories, but since it is Pixie Hollow, of course I had to give it a try and I am so glad I did! I'm excited to keep listening!

I liked chapter two! The descriptions of the setting were so well done and made it easy to imagine the space. I’m excited to keep reading!

Chapter one set this story up great! I’m interested to see where everything will go. I have concluded that Cynda has anxiety and OCD for sure. Her thoughts sound just like mine.

this chapter was so different from the movie!! i love to see the differences and compare them. i wish we got more of this in the movie.

Hey y'all. I honestly didn't think that I'd be able to meet by 5 book goal for 2024. This year has been one of the worst reading slumps for me but it has been getting better! I can't wait to keep reading and hopefully meet my goal next year!

The dialogue is so funny and realistic in this book and I’m obsessed.

I’ve read this novel before, back in 7th grade which was now… 8 years ago!! Richard never fails to impress me and I love growing my collection of his christmas books.
