Finallly after like a 6 month wait got this book back friom Libby!!

I am fucking distraught

While the theme and vibe of this book was interesting..the world building was not seamless. I was constantly saying who? Where? Like ten different cities in ten different realms had me DNF'ing out of pure confusion

Omfg the trigger warnings alone on this omg i shouldn’t be enjoying this as much as i am. 😅

At 50% and this book is so unoriginal. There’s the meat market with fights in the pit and a salt queen that rules it (crescent city), there’s an injury leaving a MC paralyzed with a scar that’s alive (TOG). Besides that the book reads extremely flat, but that could just be me.

In true Holly Renee form, this book is SHORT! But man I could stay up alllll night reading this book! Already anxious for the rest of the series

Constantly torn with reading this as fast as possible because I can’t stop and slowwwwing way down because I never want it to be over 😭.

Will probably DNF because the MMC is wearing a sweater over his shoulders smh

I’m listening to this on audio and it is LITERAL perfection. I want to listen to this female narrators voice for the rest of my life. Teddy Hamilton is everything too, I adore him.
