I'm at 23% and this is everything that is great about KA without the usual typical main characters or the "uh" and "uhm".
I absoluteky love the heroine. It's soo refreshing to read about a heroine who made mistakes, who sn't at her best and who everyone isn't automatically in love with. I love how vulnerable she is while still being strong. How there is no fake bravado. And I love how there is no instalove.

I'm currently at 57% and I'm loving the world building and story, even though I'd qualify as a light read.
Only real issue I have is the constant reference to body odour and hygiene before ans during intimacy. I know this is certainly realistic, it is definitely not a turn on and keeps making me cringe. The characters's pov keeps worrying about foul taste and smell during intimacy and it is a huge turn off

I was hooked from page 1 and love the pacing. However, I'm at 32% and I'm getting annoyed by Jack big time. He is basically Captive and his life was completely upended through no fault of his own so it would be completely understandable for him to feel sorry for himself or be just plain angry. However, he keeps getting pissed at D for not opening up more. It just doesn't make sense and feels like such a red flag

I'm loooving this book so far and had to pause to google whether or not Rex has his own story. I try to avoid recend books so that I don't ever have to wait for the release of sequels or spin offs. I found a post from 2013 where Amy Lane says she might write Rex's story but wanted to give him time to grow up a little more. It's been 12 years!! I hope Rex is still on her mind and will get his own HEA
