Guessing percentage since this is on audible , but wow Gillian Flynn is amazing at writing characters that feel so honest and real. She’s a true talent.

Already I’m thinking this narrator cannot be trusted. I feel like there’s too many details about the husband, and nothing about her and I don’t like that info is being left out. Maybe it’s nothing though.

Been wanting to try out this author for ages, and I have to say I’m very impressed with the writing. This story just makes you want to read more and more and more and I like the topics and themes this book is discussing so far. Not necessarily choosing a side either, but bringing up questions that have a compelling answer that could go both ways.

Going to dnf this at almost 25% through. Maybe I’m just not in the mood for this currently, but I can’t for the life of me pay any attention to anything going on. It feels like nothing has happened and there is so many characters it’s just not hooking me. I loved Mary kubicas book “local woman missing” and I just feel like this is taking so long to set up I’m just so bored. Ugh so sad :(

Wow so this is really dark lol. There’s just something about Karin slaughters writing that transports me into the world of her stories. This is taking place in Atlanta in the 1970s, and I think it’s so interesting to read about a time in history that you yourself haven’t lived in, but you hear stories from your parents or school about it. I feel like this book is going to have a really sad ending but I’m sat!

This is moving at a snails pace, maybe even slower than a snail, but….i also can’t seem to stop listening? Like it’s kinda boring, but it has enough of a pull to keep me interested. I almost thought to myself “what if I just look up the ending” , but I want to know if my theories are right and I feel like I’m still missing important information, so I must continue on!

Wow just read like 20 pages from Dexter’s pov. He is a MESS. I really hope he starts getting his shit together. :(

Maybe it’s too early to call it but I feel like I’m going to LOVE this. The writing and descriptions of the scenes going on is done so well and everything feels important. The mystery set up is really interesting too and I’m intrigued to find out more about this world.

I feel like I can relate so much to Emma’s feelings and inner thoughts. She’s so unsure of herself and Ik how difficult that can feel when it seems like everyone else knows what they are doing in life.

The first few stories were meh, but the trees grew because I bled there, and you’re not supposed to be here were great!
