LENNON!!!

I’m hooked.

Been trying to read something every night to wind down. This book is very low-stakes, and smutty. There’s no consequences, and instant attraction. Most of this is not really my thing but I’ll see it through.

Wanting to revisit some classic literature.

I was struggling to get through the beginning. It picked up after chapter 7, and by chapter 17 I was fully invested. This author is better at writing character interactions than anything.

“Everybody Hates Shiori”

I’m getting a little tired of every new character being two seconds away from killing a literal princess but I’m enjoying the story. The underwater kingdom section was difficult to get through. I don’t like constant action and that whole part was a never ending struggle. I’m enjoying this book regardless though.

Character development!!

Fast paced, and it sucked me in quickly. I’m ready to see this annoying little girl grow as a character.

oh I’m getting sucked in.

It definitely picked up in the second half. The beginning just dragged on, and with an emotionless MC it was boring as hell, but that was by design. Glad I stuck it out because now I’m invested.

It’s a slow start, and I don’t like the male main character very much yet. I hope it picks up soon.

also, setting?? world building?? I’m confused.

this book stresses me out so much
