He makes this false equivalent that a pilot who changes their heading by 1% will end up in the wrong place. While I get the analogy, pilots navigate via navigational aids and GPS. No one flies by dead reckoning. And even if a pilot weren't using those, they'd be using land features, (with heading getting you in the right direction) not heading as a primary means of navigation. So I don't like the analogy.
