I just finished a brutal fantasy ending 😭🥹I'm hoping this will mend it or atleast try. I need all the fluffy romance feels when everything goes right

This series invokes in me the feelings I had with Vicious and Vengeful by VE Schwab. I love that. The science fiction academic magical-ness "found family" of it all is amazing.

As far as first impressions go, this book is primed to be a favorite. Dark academia + Fantasy + A group of talented characters + Angsty Academic Rivals + A tinge of colonial/imperial themes + Library setting + Action.... perfect. I'm still early in though so we will see how it goes further down the line

5 star prediction 😭that's precisely right up my alley. My top 2 faves both are a study of the human condition using languages (Babel by R.F Kuang and Cultish by Amanda Montell) I LOVEEEEE. This has dragged me from an impending reading slump

Carissa Broadbent write a book im not immediately obsessed with challenge: IMPOSSIBLE! I missed being in this world. The magic system is enthralling and just everything connecting to the crowns of nyaxia world makes me so happy.

Reread bc I read this so many years ago and I didn't know it was a series/had connected sequels. I'm loving how fast paced this is, YA Thrillers are so peak(bc I hate being spooked and this is so tame and bingeable)

Arghhh I always love Jessa Hastings writing. I've loved this since page one so far.

I'm still so-so about the writing but I'm slowly warming up to the characters and I like that the plot isn't flat. We are working towards something but we still have things going on.

Ending of Chapter 22 broke me😭Xaden saying this is the most peace he's felt in weeks? Oh I'm sobbing. I don't want this book to end and I'm not even 50% through yet.

Ngl I've forgotten majority of the shit happening in this world bc I read the last book in 2023 so the overall plot is lost a little bit to me however I'm loving seeing my shaylas 🥹🥹🥹Violet and Xaden. There's a lot of info dumping so it is being great help in reorienting me into this world. HAVING THE TIME OF MY LIFE❤️🫰🏾Can't believe I put this off for so long

Exciting new release and I'm loving it already(even though i didnt entirely love the first book). I'm bummed about effy* not adjusting to her new found position in the literature college but it's still early in the book, so im giving her a chance so the plot moves with her the way it's going with Preston(I love the plot development with him).
