I’ve been reading this sloooowly. Just not logging.

Chapter 1 done! My sketches look surprisingly better than any freehand doodles or effort I’ve tried before. Guidance from this book has helped, though I don’t know if I have foundational skills to accurately show correct perspective, distances or basic shapes. All in good time.

Battles are pretty gnarly

Completed Project 1-A: Feet. Started with left foot. More rounded when it should be more angular. Proportions off. Right foot looks more proportionally correct. Was more flat/straight on

Wasn’t sure how a non-dog-based Jack London book would go, but I’m loving this so far. One chapter in and he’s bashing the bullshit philosophy that is metaphysics in a way I’ve struggled to describe.

Yes, I’m reading “The Bell Jar,” but please note that there is no matcha, tote bag or corded earphones in sight.

Song of Myself

An appreciation for humans and nature, and one’s self. An appreciation for mundane experiences and sympathy for the downtrodden. It challenges the idea of one true faith; Whitman describes himself (and by extension the reader) as a conduit for the universe.
