Like for example, why does Roman who has been in space 3 other times get space sick, while Nell who has never been in space doesn’t get sick. Like come on.

This book is starting to piss me off. I don’t know the author just rubs me as ignorant and pretentious, purposely making shit up to seem sophisticated and poetic but for anyone learned it’s just plain dumb. Also I don’t understand why she has all the men be weak and pathetic, while the women are amazing strong and able to resist the effects of space, whatever that means.

This books serves no purpose other than listless commentary. Any deeper scientific inquiry that could be presented is substituted for pointless observations and reflections. This books only seems to try and explore the psyche of the characters, however it is failing to imbed any grander idea other than nihilism and a rejection of scientific endeavor. So far I am not as impressed as I had hoped.
