Okay I’m getting into this now!

"I have found out the name of my bride. She is truly the fairest and the most gracious of all. My Lady Poverty!"

Okay so maybe I can’t do this audiobook thing

Throughout watching season 2 of the disney+ series I was ITCHING to be elbow deep in these books. So we’re running it back

“..What homage do we really pay Him? Do we do more for Him than if we did not believe all this? Tell me, dear brethren, does our conduct correspond at all to our beliefs? We are wretched creatures. We are even more blameworthy than the Jews.”

oh. right.

It doesn’t feel like it’s as much about St. Francis as I wanted it to be, but I think Chesterton is giving informative context that helps the reader to see why Francis was/is such an example.
I’m enjoying!

Almost there!!!!

My issue right now is that there are so many books that I want to start but I should probably finish the ones I’m currently reading first 😔

Inspired by Fr. Paul. Getting back onto the audiobook grind !

The end of chapter VII (p. 129-132) has me feeling #repentant.
