I can’t help it. I scanned a few pages up ahead and mygod I don’t have words for what I’m feeling. I’m furious. Sad. Heartbroken. Furious. Absolutely furious at some of the parts I read. I saw a point-turning quote in TikTok that’s why I decided to try reading this book. So I searched for it and saw that it was almost at the end and im already anticipating that I’ll be pretty damn heartbroken about this

I don’t know what to feel. WHY CAN’T SHE JUST LEAVE HIM??!! PEOPLE SHOULD LEAVE AT THE FIRST SIGN OF ABUSE NO MATTER HOW SUBTLE OR QUIET IT IS!!

The writing is still too much. I feel like I’m reading a thesaurus instead of a novel. It’s way of writing is not appropriate for YA audience. My interest kept shifting as I can’t find the story engaging enough. Still holding out hope that the story would finally get interesting and less boring.

I’m finding it a little bit slow to my liking and the style of writing is different from what I’m used to. The author uses deep and difficult words that make reading taxing.

I REALLY CAN’T GET OVER HOW ARROGANT NIKOLAI IS. HE THINKS HE’S BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE AND ONLY DOES WHAT HE WANTS!!!

Can I just say that I’m at the Séance chapter and Nikolai is getting tiresome. As an apprentice, he’s so arrogant that he doesn’t get the purpose of some exercise. He should kill Medea when he gets everything he needs from her!! My gosh 😤
