i was honestly scared i would end up hating elias because of how prickly and grumpy he is in the beginning but hes genuinely such a sweet and caring person. also W representation of men actually having feelings and being able to cry

YIPPEEEEEEEEEE i love the vibes of this

i dont mean to sound like an english prof but the number of comma splices is pissing me off

unrelated but GOODREADS DARK MODE!!!! yippee

ew stop with the “shes mine” “youre mine” also ripping someone’s hands off is. what? huh

ok im getting sick of these lustful idiots
enough boners please

um. maybe not peak
why did she get so aroused by being bitten im crine

it was a lil too easy for them to just break out of prison, but ill let it slide. ive read far worse. i like samara so far, actually a smart and practical fmc unlike in most romantasies. vampire guy is silly

this looks exactly like the type of romantasy i HATE, but its apparently without the stupid shit and horrifically written sex scenes found in 99.9% of romantasy, so i have high hopes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have snuck in several reading sessions at my book store and i like it so far

yikes….

i feel like im being extremely called out by this book
first year in uni, no dating experience but pretty curious by it
shit social skills but desperate to get a good social life at uni
close friend who unfortunately has unrequited romantic feelings for me
i am literally being called out. im georgia except im a loser gay instead of aroace

“barely anyone in the uk has roommates, why do i have to have one” is a CRAZY privileged thing to say lmao. try having 3 roommates

bro everyone in this book SUCKS
1. marina got with her best friend's lover aka her current husband maxim...?
2. maxim got with someone (marina) while leading on another woman (shana)
3. shana apparently went to jail for murder??? lmao
4. the twin girls are literally sexually harassing ed CONSTANTLY

ts is genuinely really boring but i dont want to dnf because i did pay for this book... granted it was like 3 bucks but still

ok off to a GREAT start....
1. "shes not stupid even though shes on the spectrum" excuse me?
2. "have you ever spoken to him/her/it/them?" nobody fucking talks like that. people would just say "them" if the person is anonymous

ive had this book for like a year without reading it so its time to get on that

update on the physical state of my book: a huge chunk fell out. :(

im being extremely careful with it but my 1980 edition of this book is falling apart the more i try to read it im crine

really like the way its written so far and i appreciate 1. the diagrams of the go board as the game progresses 2. the notes providing context on either important names or cultural aspects

picked up this little book at my uni's old book sale

this is just getting weird

ok this is getting really boring lol

the conch is gonna be a symbol for something throughout the book for sure

ah yes a bunch of boys on an uninhabited island without any adult supervision, what could possibly go wrong

this is really such an important and valuable perspective. park is correct in saying that you can only truly know what life is like in north korea from those who escaped, and there arent very many of them. seeing the way propaganda was so heavily pushed from a young age and the things that had to be done in extreme poverty, like saving human waste for fertilizer…
