The cringe Gen-Z slang used by dramatically horny main characters who are all well past college age is a major ick and has almost made me DNF… but the plot is too good for me to give up on

I’m on chapter 10 and I WILL be going back to the beginning and rereading because I have NO CLUE who anyone is, how the magic system works, or what is going on. I think having previously read Manacled actually made it more difficult to understand…
