Surprisingly tough read, good but hard to get through

This is such a pain, second day I rolled a low number, just let me finish this godamnit, it's good I'm invested. I even did 0 min. 300 max. today instead of 0 min. 150 max.

This new book club challenge is a pain in the ass, the amount of pages we're allowed to read (no more or less) are decided by a random number generator. So if I'm lucky I can basically read all day. But if I'm unlucky for the rest of the weerk, like today where I got 14 pages, I might not even finish this short ass novella this month. Torturous, I'm already so invested

Might actually finish it today if I just disregard my exams, who needs em' anyways???

Bad idea to read this during exams, it's so hard to put down but I kind of need to

I really like the sci-fi, it's surprisingly brilliant (I guess that's why they call Wells one of the fathers of sci-fi) but the quality of it is way higher than the quantity, you could replace the Martians with the Germans dropping weird little guys and it would change nothing. Hope next chapter has more sci-fi, not like this is not well written, just as it turns out not my genre, I catch myself zoning out a lot.
