Just zero order in eliciting the tragedies. Thirty pages after a building collapses on a full restaurant and a train carrying 90 people tips into the sea why are we wasting breath talking about how someone is sad her mom’s flower garden flooded.

The author tells me everything about Isaac’s childhood and time growing up into becoming a great pioneering weatherman and then once the storm hits he’s nearly never mentioned.. only time he’s brought up are self-written accounts by Isaac on what he did during this time, which the author doesn’t even believe, why is this his storm??

Book is good but spends too much time focusing on entire history of hurricanes, even after the time in which the story takes place, makes it hard to really feel the importance of what’s happening in the moment when the author mentions a bunch of bigger storms that happen upwards of a century afterwards.
