I liked the book a lot. Kept your interest and you wanted to know what’s going to happen. I will say the “one year later” may have been too much of a stretch for me. I think this was the difference between 5 or 4 stars. It could’ve ended without the one year later and it would’ve been better. In my opinion. But still a good book!

Such a quick read. Was a perfect easy book to read. Some aspects could’ve been better but overall good read.

I really liked the sarcasm and the family dynamic. You could totally picture it. I didn’t like the romance between Alice and Jack at one point when she was so hurt he was a liar but was okay enough to sleep with him right after. Feel strange. The ending about the inheritance was a let down. Where does the rest of the money go? Who got it?

3.75 ⭐️ I liked the storyline. It felt a bit rushed at the end but enjoyed it. The few romantic scenes felt a bit unnecessary and possibly could’ve been done a bit better.

Probably 2.5 stars. Maybe the audiobook just didn’t help. Twist at the end was good but not the typical Riley Sager level of a book.

Oof. I’ve really enjoyed Center’s other books so I was super excited but wow this wasn’t as good. Soooo much about body issues which I understand is a very hard topic for most but it was the entire book. Too much. I agree I don’t like how I look in some things but just wasn’t a great plot either. Wouldn’t recommend

So I was really liking this book until the setting changed to Dubai when it just became so far fetched. Very confusing. Could’ve been a bit better but overall still good and would recommend. Had to read it because of Reese

I don’t know how I feel about this book. Probably 3.5 or closer to a 4 star. I thought it was slow at some parts. But then I really did enjoy it. It was sad and I don’t want to feel sad while reading. I would recommend it though.

Quick read. A lot of telling which I felt was unnecessary. The story was good and a little twist at the end. I felt the book could’ve been shorter - I skipped a few of the “emotions” parts.
