Wild. I wanna read Lolita again someday but from her perspective. Humbert seems to be getting bored and frustrated with the whole situation and it shows in the way he talks about her. He doesn’t romanisé her anymore and just objectifies her.

I had right to be scared for her. He did it and told her her mother was dead right after. I’m his head, he justifies it because she told him she was not a virgin and had been with a boy called Charlie at camp, which ofc he was annoyed about. The book would’ve been more interro me if there was a female role other then fraeska, if the mother would have been alive, her perspective would’ve been cool i think.

When her mother was alive I didn’t find the story scary at all but now she is gone I am worried for poor Lolita 🥲

Everything seems to be happening in Humberto favour. Like this doesn’t seem realistic. The nanny not being able to attend, then the boarding school not being able to take her till January, then the mother dies after finding his notebook. The book isn’t long but it kinda feels rushed, it’s happening quick and in a way that probably wouldn’t happen in reality.
