The world building, dynamics, and politics of this community is so rich I feel fully immersed in all of it. I absolutely believe that ST Gibson KNOWS this setting like the back of her hand. And she doesn’t flinch at all with dumbing anything down. It’s like she gets in this dense flow of mapping everything out, and it doesn’t wait for people who wouldn’t care to understand in the first place.

I’m literally in love with this book.

I think the authors actually really nailed a balance of comedy that doesn’t feel try hard, but then maybe internet discourse has just broken my brain about comedy in books
