Reading this now as I will be visiting the ruins of Troy in a week!

I dont like that Medea is portrayed as such a horrible and cruel woman. This book has a feminist undertone/perspective that tries to do the women justice so I don’t understand why that is not done for Medea. But, I could see how maybe this will be turned around later in the book (as there are some similarities btw Medea and Ariadne. Maybe the whole point is that Ariadne will understand Medea’s injustice?)

I like the way it is written as it flows really well. I zone in really quick bc of it!
Also, I like how it touches upon other myths and characters as well!

The first few chapters I felt the author did not elaborate enough, but now it is much better!

Hmm it’s taking me a bit to get into, but I’m getting there
