Jacquie is starting A Founding Mother: A Novel of Abigail Adams
I got this book as a good read win. This book is wonderful and held my attention. Never boring and I felt like I was really there at the events leading up and during the Revolutionary War. This is a must read if you wonder what it is like to live in those times and what lead up the start of the USA.
Mrs John Addams’s wife is a good strong character and I really enjoyed her and her family’s tale.

Without all the swear words there might be a short story.

Jacquie is starting The Prisoner's Wife
I only just started this book but I’m confused. In the title it says it’s based on fact. The intro indicates it is fact- yet there is the disclaimer that announces it is fiction and no part is true.
Which is it????

Jacquie is starting Too Scared to Tell
Seriously, don’t let a kid read these books! They will run away to the UK to be a foster child!
I have heard that kids in foster care in the USA carry all they own in a plastic trash bag. In the Cathy glass books, kids in the USA get a suitcase or nice bag.
My oldest brother and wife were foster parents in the USA and while the foster children got gifts they never got to keep them unlike cathys books.

Jacquie is starting Behind Closed Doors
I was bored and confused with the first several chapters. Then the games began. It was sort of like riding a roller coaster. You get in and it's slow going till you get to the top then-
Whoosh! Off you go on a wild ride.
I don't want to put it down but I must go to sleep.
